Virtual Visit was created out of sheer frustration.

Co-founder Michael Pettler spent ten years in hotel operations and sales. Time and time again, he saw that once prospects actually came to the hotel for a site inspection, closing the sale was a piece of cake. The problem? Getting prospects to actually show up.

In addition, the industry was at a technological standstill - computers, when used for sales at all, were only for checking and booking space. Very few hotels had web pages, and sales managers were selling using printed brochures and photo binders. Michael saw an opportunity to carve out a niche.
What if he could carry his hotel with him on a laptop?

In 1996, he teamed up with software developer Scott Bowie to create Virtual Visit Presentations. What started out as a simple, DOS-based application soon grew into a full suite of sales tools, designed to match the real-world scenarios salespeople had with prospects and clients. Now in use by hotels, resorts, and destination marketing organizations all over North America, Virtual Visit continues to evolve based on client feedback and the ever-changing needs of the global marketplace.
